Problem-based learning is an aprroach to learning through which many students have been enabled to understand their own situations and frame works so that they are able to perceive how they learn, and how they see themselves as future professionals.
Problem-based learning can help students to learn with complexity,to see there are no straightforward answers to problem scenarios, but that learning and life takes places in contexts, contexts which affect the kinds of solutions that are available and possible. New definitions and new meanings of learning often emerge when the interraction of ideas and experiences collide with one another.
Maggi tell the argument of this book is that the potential and influence of problem-based learning is yet to be realized in the context of higher education. Need adopt of component education staff, the leader and the students to practice the concept of problem-based learning education.
Learning should be seen as cyclical process in which students make transitions.
The full potential of problem-based learning will only be achieved through realizing the value and complexcity to learning and challenge their situations.
This book is very important for lecturer, the institutioal leader in organization in the universities, and staff in higher university. This book is the researcher in complexity methods of learning with partisipative, elaboration and it’s the contextualization method. This book is perform how the student in higher university study with based-community.

Maggi savin hope with elaborate that element, the student’s can be succeed study in university.
Chapter 2 explain the ilustrated the ways in which problem-based can be implemented in diverse ways across different professions and institutional contexts. Internal and exernal influence on curricula, such as curricula constraint and the requirements of proffesional bodies can affect the ways in which problem-based learning.
In generally, this book tell the method’s of problem-based learning in higher education, the purpose of this is contextual learning, strength pedagogical stances and elaborate the education and practice with relation. Maggi said that for success this method, every students must be now the identity, manage ownself with mapping the experience and elaborate their knowledge to supposed their studies. In problem-based learning methods usually called learning context. It’s exercise the student’s to solve their problem with groups, manage and maximalize their potential and develop their abilities.
The experience students is struggle students in the interaction of public theories, personal interpretations, academic boundaries and professional territories have been explored along with some of the difficulities in relationship between outcome focused agenda and problem-based learning.
According Maggi savin there are five model in Problem-based learning. Model 1 for epistimological competence, model 2 PBL for professional action, model 3 PBL for interdiciplinary understanding, model 4 PBl for transdiciplinary learning, and model five PBL for contestability. Five model its important to increasing academic competences and characterize.
The attractions of problem-based learning are many and thus the implementation of problem-based learning, in the UK(united kingdom) at least, is becoming wide spread. And it’s possible to adopt problem-based learning methods. The main of this book explain and perform the PBL method is the one of method in higher education. There are many reason to supposed that such as equip students for the world work, offer students opportunities to learn how to learn, improve students learning by complexity and ambiguity, help the students to realize and develop their learner identity, give opportunities for teaching that grounded in the world of work.
The weakness of this book is not compare the complex data to support this “main statement that PBL is the best method” because not elaborate and compare with another country and example practically in other places. But, this book is very appropiate practically in indonesia, but the system education in higher education in indonesia still used the traditional method and separate with the society. If the society, the institution in higher university, and the students ready and have integrity to practice this methods, i don’t have not the belief that education in indonesia is more best than now.
